1. Payout account
To receive proceeds, the payee must complete Stripe Express payout setup and have payouts enabled. For consignments the payee is the Owner (consignor), and Reluxit will not publish the merchandise until this setup is complete. Identity and bank verification are performed by Stripe under Stripe's terms.
2. Fees
Full-Service Consignment: Reluxit retains the commission individually agreed with and accepted by the Owner for that consignment, plus any fees expressly disclosed to the Owner. The Owner receives the final sale price less that commission and those fees. Example: a $1,000 sale at an agreed 15% commission with no other disclosed fees results in $150 to Reluxit and $850 to the Owner. The 10% marketplace fee does not apply to consignment orders.
Legacy marketplace orders: Reluxit retains a 10% marketplace fee on the sale amount, and the seller receives the sale amount less that fee. Example: $1,000 results in $100 to Reluxit and $900 to the seller.
Stripe may apply its own processing, account or payout fees to the payee's connected account. Reluxit does not control those charges.
Buyers pay the listed price; Reluxit does not add a separate buyer fee at checkout. Shipping and tax, where applicable, are shown before payment.
3. Payout hold and release
Proceeds are held on the Reluxit platform account from payment until the order completes — that is, when the buyer accepts the item or the 48-hour inspection window expires without a dispute.
Release is then initiated as a Stripe transfer to the payee's connected account — the Owner for consignment orders, or the seller for legacy marketplace orders. Arrival in the payee's bank depends on Stripe's payout schedule for that account.
4. Blocked and flagged payouts
A payout will not be released while a live dispute or refund exists on the order. Payouts may also be held for review where fraud, chargeback or verification concerns exist.
5. Refunds, reversals and negative balances
If a refund is awarded after a payout has been released, Reluxit may recover the amount from the payee's future payouts or by direct reimbursement. Persistent negative balances may lead to suspension.
6. Taxes
Owners and legacy sellers are responsible for reporting and paying their own taxes. Stripe may issue tax forms where required by law.
